Dr. Fred Christian was saved at the Carbondale Baptist Church in Cannelton, West Virginia in February, 1978. He was licensed to preach by the church on March 23, 1981 and later ordained on January 5, 1985. Since that time he has served as Senior Pastor of three different Baptist churches in West Virginia. 

Dr. Christian did his undergraduate work at the West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia and Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Ministry degree from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, Louisiana.  

He taught Bible for 5 years at the Fair Haven Christian High School in Charleston, West Virginia. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Atlantic Baptist Bible College in Chester, Virginia, Global Bible University in Matagalpa Nicaragua, West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Montgomery West Virginia, West Virginia State University in Institute, West Virginia, and The University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia.  

In addition to preaching and teaching, he also serves as the Administrator of the Teays Valley School of the Bible in Hurricane, West Virginia. Dr. Christian is a member of the Board of Directors at Virginia Baptist College in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
